Newcastle Art, Drawing Classes and Lessons with Vivienne Nelson

Vivienne offers one-to-one private art lessons that focus on learning to draw. She enjoys to teach both children and adults.

Vivienne bases each lesson on the ‘Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain’ style of teaching that is from artist Betty Edwards.

This method is a way to tap into each persons inner artist and get your drawing to a high standard in a relatively fast amount of time. To see examples of before and after work see the gallery of drawings here

Vivienne normally structures lessons in a 6 week course, each lesson lasting for two hours. By the end of 6 weeks students have learned the basic building blocks of how to draw well and will have a level of confidence in their abilities.

Vivienne Nelson is a trained Art Teacher and Artist with many years of Teaching experience, both locally and overseas. She draws almost daily herself.
